WTF? Blingo suddenly switched over to Yahoo! Search, Live Search, and Ask from Google. The results are terrible, and it’s not showing the full URL anymore. I typed in “Dairy Queen” earlier, for example, and got the Canadian website. Ugh. Is it worth putting up with a crappy search engine in order to win prizes? This is a tough one.
A third day in a row, I’ve won yet another $5 Amazon gift certificate from Blingo while searching in the wee hours. This is unbelievable.
However, I’m a little confused, because the rules limit you to two prizes per month. Nonetheless, I had no problems redeeming my gift certificate and my profile lists all three prizes, so I’m definitely not complaining!
Amazingly, I just won yet another $5 Amazon gift certificate from Blingo. Unfortunately, I can’t apply this, too, to my Amazon order from yesterday, but I’m sure I’ll be ordering more from them in the future anyway.
Plus, I just submitted a request for a $0.10 credit, as the price of a book I bought for filler to get free shipping dropped from $0.32 to $0.22. (You know about Amazon’s unspoken 30-day price guarantee, right?) Yeah, I actually bothered. I just stick all of my purchases into Refund Please and wait for the email. Every penny counts! That means $5.11 off some future order! Woohoo!
What incredible timing, Blingo! I had just ordered a new ball head for my tripod from Amazon and did a search for public domain short stories when bam! I won a $5 Amazon gift certificate. Even better, Amazon has the ability to apply gift certificates to recent orders that haven’t yet shipped, so I immediately claimed my prize and saved five bucks. Yeah, I could’ve instead claimed a movie ticket, but I’d much rather save $5 now than wait for some movie that I’d actually bother seeing in a theater. I was beginning to despair that I’d never win anything from Blingo again despite having 40 Blingo friends (it’s been a couple months), but I suppose it was all just a matter of time.
The list of things that I’ve won from Blingo keeps on getting longer and longer. I’m excited to be the latest winner of a $5 Amazon gift certificate! I had the choice between that and a free movie ticket. While the movie ticket may be worth more monetarily, I opted for the Amazon gift certificate, as I’d get much more utility from that.
