Alas, No Skiing
The Ski Market trip to Killington was canceled due to lack of participants, which sucked, but I managed to get some stuff done. For example, I watched “Superman Returns” and went shopping with Wei-ying. OK, so I actually got nothing done. However, it’s still early in the day.
Yesterday, I went to the current MFA exhibit, Fashion Show: Paris Collections 2006, and thoroughly hated it. This is a great example of why I don’t want to renew my MFA membership for next year. Of course, it’s truly the budgetary concern, but this is a great secondary reason. I can see how fashion is a part of art, but it really doesn’t interest me. Furthermore, the exhibit didn’t really have much more to it than a bunch of dresses. Quite simply, what you see is what you get. There’s nothing more to it. This combined with the pandering Things I Love exhibit really annoys me, and makes me think the MFA has lost its marbles.
Anyway, after the MFA exhibit, I started my first day of Kaplan training, which was interesting. Earning the incredible rate of $7/hr. throughout it, I learned plenty about Kaplan and will be back for the second session this Wednesday. At the end of the month, I will hopefully be a Kaplan graduate and ready to take on my first LSAT course.
And for the girlfriend’s benefits, Coupling was fairly funny.
